Training Overview Description

Learn from Sharon Humiston, MD, MPH, FAAP, about the benefits of using the HPV Same Way Same Day app as a clinic training tool to increase HPV vaccination rates!

For Pediatricians or PCPs looking to improve HPV vaccine rates, communication is key. In this app, you will practice techniques to introduce and discuss the vaccine with parents and young patients, including those who may be hesitant to immunize. This HPV Vaccine: Same Way Same Day application available for Apple and Android was developed by the Academic Pediatric Association, the American Academy of Pediatrics, and Kognito.™

This webinar will showcase the app's features: Learn about the HPV vaccine and strategies for broaching it with parents; Engage in a series of simulated role-play conversations with a fully animated parent and her child, while receiving personalized feedback from a virtual coach and Access resources about HPV vaccinations and motivational interviewing.

Target Audience
This activity has been designed to meet the educational needs of health professionals who provide and/or promote immunizations including physicians, physician assistants, nurse practitioners, registered nurses, as well as health professions students.
