Training Overview Description

Three presentations addressing the current state of Opioid Abuse and how to provide alternative options, how to treat Opioid Use Disorder in your practice and how to provide the best treatment for chronic pain even in the most challenging cases.

Classes are only $10 each and meals will be provided!

All classes will be held the same day in the same location:

8am - 10am: Treating Pain. The CDC Guidelines and More.
12pm - 2pm: Treating Opioid Use Disorder – How Buprenorphine Changed My Life!
5pm - 7pm: Treating Complex Pain Patients. It’s easier than you think.

Presenter: Don Teater MD, MPH
Don Teater is a family physician who has practiced medicine for the past 30 years. Since 2013 he has focused mostly on the treatment of pain and addiction. Dr. Teater was lead facilitator for the expert panel discussion during the development of the CDC Guideline for Prescribing Opioids for Chronic Pain. He continues to work as a consultant with the CDC on educating prescribers on the appropriate treatment of pain. He also educates prescribers nationally on the appropriate treatment of pain and opioid use disorder. Don also continues to see patients one day a week treating the disease of addiction.
