Nursing Contact Hours approved by the Alaska Nurses Association for 20.1 hours online and 23.5 hours face to face. The Alaska Nurses Association is an approved provider of continuing nursing education by the Montana Nurses Association, an accredited approver by the American Nurses Credentialing Center's Commission on Accreditation.


• ACFTA offers nurses and medical providers, across the state, training to ensure trauma informed care for victims of violence which will ultimately promote justice for all victims in Alaska.

Training Format:
The ACFTA training has both an online and in-person component. The first 20 hours of the training is conducted online and is self-paced. The second 24 hours of the training program is conducted in-person. ACFTA’s in-person trainings will be held at UAA several times during the year.

How much does the training cost?
The course is free. Travel scholarships for the in-person training can be requested through the Council on Domestic Violence and Sexual Assault. Please go to the CDVSA website for information regarding a travel scholarship to attend the three-day in-person session.
